They pour across the border into the Mara, making a breath-taking entrance in a flowing column of life that extends beyond the horizon.
At the Mara River they mass together on the banks before ultimately plunging forward through the raging waters, causing frenzy as they battle against swift currents and ready crocodiles.
The wildebeest bring brand new life to the Mara, not simply through their cycle of regeneration of the grasslands, but also for the predators that follow the herds.
The Masai Mara has been called the Kingdom of Lions and these majestic and strong hunters rule over these grasslands. Cheetahs are also a regular sight in the Mara, as are Hyena and modest predators such as Jackals.
The Mara is a wonderful natural speculate, a place where Masai warriors share the plains with hunting lions, a place of great herds and timeless cycles of life, death and rebirth.

How to get there:
Road access to Masai Mara is via Narok town, a 3 hours drive from Nairobi. You may decide to fly to the Mara, which is served by 4 man airstrips. Daily scheduled flights from Nairobi and Mombasa are offered. Private Charters also use these airstrips. Accessing the Mara area is difficult without own transport.
Masai Mara Safari:
Most guests visit Masai Mara on a safari package from Nairobi or in a rental car. The reserve has well set up internal roads and tracks. Accessing areas outside the reserve is only easy using simple public transportation, and finding the right path around can be complicated.
